Death-in-Service
Death-in-service benefit was often included in the past as part of an occupational pension scheme arrangement. As many of these schemes close and are replaced by more modern group personal pension schemes, employers have sought to replace this benefit with specific Death-in-Service schemes.
Such schemes tend to provide a low-cost way of providing life assurance cover to employees and can often be set up without the need for members to undergo medical underwriting. Often, therefore, directors and heads of businesses are keen to consider the company death-in-service arrangements as very efficient ways of putting such cover in force.
Schemes can be very flexible in terms of employees' eligibility, level of benefits, form of joining and as such we would happy to advise you on how your needs can be met. Click here to contact an adviser to discuss this further.
